A woman’s
satisfaction with the delivery service may have immediate and long term effects
on her health and subsequent utilization of the services.
Providing
satisfying delivery care increases service utilization. Women play a
principal role in the rearing of children and the management of family affairs,
and their loss from maternity-related causes is a significant social and
personal tragedy.
Methods: a cross
sectional study was conducted in February 2013 on a sample of 398 delivering
mothers in Assela Hospital using convenient sampling technique. Data was
collected using structured questionnaire and analyzed by SPSS version 17.
Statistical tests were employed and significance level was taken at p-value<0.05.
